Frequently Asked Questions
How can we help you?
The Localiza rent a car FAQs section is an useful source for you to find out answers for questions about our service.
Social Name
A social name is the name that transgender and travesti individuals use. It affirms someone’s gender identity and expression, and it is different from their legal name (the one registered at birth).
Yes! To do this, make sure your Localiza profile is updated with your social name. Also, your social name must be stated on your driver’s license (CNH) when you pick up the car, okay?
To reserve and pick up the vehicle, your social name must already be on your driver’s license (CNH).
To update your profile, you can present any official photo ID that already includes your social name.
If you already have an open contract with us, the update must be done directly at one of our branches.
However, if there are no reservations under your name, the process is even simpler:
- Access the Privacy Portal;
- Select the option “Change, correct, update, rectify, and/or complete your personal data“;
- Done!
Oh, and if you encounter any difficulties, you can also update your social name at our service counters, okay?
No need to worry! You can just sign up as usual. To better understand how to create an account, please visit the following link: What should I do for my first access to the Localiza app or website?
