  • Place the warning triangle approximately 100 meters (330 ft) behind the vehicle.

  • Take photos of the scene. 
  • Wait for the insurance adjuster to arrive. 
  • Do not sign any documents unless you fully understand them. 
  • Request a copy of the report. 
  • Return all documentation to Localiza when dropping off the vehicle.

In Mexico, it is standard legal procedure for an insurance adjuster to come to the scene before continuing with the claim. 

For your own protection and to ensure insurance coverage, we recommend avoiding any direct agreements or payments at the scene.
