Social Responsibility

 

Junior Achievement - Minas Gerais: an education project mainly aimed at taking entrepreneurship to public schools. The Company is one of the sponsors of Junior Achievement and the Chairman of the Advisory Board in Minas Gerais is Mr. Eugenio Mattar, Executive Vice President of the Company.

 

Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies: project intended to form business leaders that are committed to a social and political model for Brazil based on democratic ideals for individual rights, principles of market economy, free enterprise, and respect for the rule of law.

 

Minas for Peace: project with the objectives of promoting social justice, peace, culture, citizenship, and human rights through implementation of actions to prevent violence and criminality, as well as through implementation of and incentive to cultural and social projects that pursue these objectives.

 

Green Sign to Culture: this project has provided support for culture throughout Brazil for over twenty years using our own funds or donations for cultural projects with funding from income tax through the “Rouanet Law” incentive.

 

Social Fund for Children and Adolescents: contributions with resources from income tax are made by the Company to previously selected institutions that are qualified and have a good history and high reputation.

 

Green Seed: a social project providing support for institutions by way of volunteers. Under this program, food, personal hygiene items and educational material are collected to aid two previously selected institutions.

 

Milenium Institute: Center for studies, research, disclosure and education on public issues on the government, politics, economics, society and culture that promotes the values and principles of a free society, individual freedom, property rights, free market, efficient State, representative democracy, rule of law and institutional limits to the government action.

 

Endeavor: organization that identifies and makes it feasible the sustainable continuity of   high impact entrepreneurs´ businesses. It selects, inspires and enables high impact entrepreneurs to act as great managers. It introduces the high impact entrepreneurship culture on education. It works with the government to minimize the obstacles for the entrepreneurial activity.
