Upon celebrating 10 years of activities, in 1983, Localiza Rent a Car implemented franchising as the strategy of choice to expand it location network. Localiza Franchising was then created with an exclusive focus on brand licensing, transference of know-how, assistance, support and franchising network management.
The creation of Localiza Franchising aimed at making car-rental available also to country cities, thus better serving customers in leisure or business travel. Such move significantly sped up Localiza’s growth.
In 1992, Localiza Franchising started its international expansion and today it encompasses more than 500 locations in Latin America.
